The outreach team from the Create International DTS running right now in Chiang Mai, Thailand just wrapped up a month of outreach in Thailand. They devoted themselves to sharing the gospel among the unreached—from schools to prisons to house churches, they were able to reach and encourage others with the message of hope and light they carried with them. Here’s just a few of the highlights:
Sharing the gospel with 50+ prisoners at a prison in southern Thailand: both challenging them and encouraging them by showing them their value in Christ and the freedom He can offer.
Teaching English to over 100 Muslim & Buddhist children in Thailand, and accompanying that teaching with the spoken and demonstrated love of God.
Evangelizing on the beaches of Phuket in partnership with a local church that works in the red light districts in addition to reaching out to the many tourists who come to that city.
Our DTS team were excited to see how media resources produced at Create International helped to make this outreach more effective. Among the Shan people of northern Thailand, the DTS students were able to use both a coloring book featuring Biblical stories and a cartoon gospel presentation to share the gospel in new, creative, and culturally relevant ways to the kids they were teaching. As you can see in the picture, the kids were captivated as they watched the gospel story play out in their own language and style. We’re thankful for this and other times during the outreach that Create resources were used to reach the heart of those we served. Our team were also able to utilise our Create’s Dove stream media player and God pod and other tools, to effectively share. Thank you to all of you who have made it possible for us to produce these resources—this outreach was just another great reminder of how powerful it is to provide people with gospel presentations in their heart language!
